This page is for anyone who uses LevelUp, or wants to contact us about it. It is the same page the app opens from Profile › Settings › Help & Contact › Support page.
Contact us
#The quickest way to reach us is email: [email protected]. In the app, Profile › Settings › Help & Contact › Email support opens a new email to this address.
- Expected response time: within 5 business days. Reports about child safety, or about intimate images shared without consent, go first. Some requests have their own deadlines: we complete deletion requests within 30 days, answer data-protection requests within the times in How to use your rights, and remove intimate images under a valid removal request within 48 hours (see Report content).
- Languages: you can write to us in English or Turkish.
- Reporting content: to report illegal or abusive content, with or without an account, see Report content.
- Deleting your account without the app: see Delete your account.
- Privacy and data protection requests: see Your rights in the Privacy Policy and, in Turkish, the KVKK Aydınlatma Metni.
Please do not send passwords or card numbers by email. We will never ask for your passwords or card numbers. Don't send identity documents or your Turkish ID number (T.C. kimlik numarası) with a request by email either: LevelUp accounts are anonymous, so these can't show us which account is yours. To make sure an account is yours, we ask about things only its holder can see in the app.
When you write to us, include your Support ID from Profile › Settings › Help & Contact (tap it to share or copy it). An email you start with Email support there, or with Contact support on the "Account suspended" screen, already ends with it once the app shows your Support ID. It is how we find your account, because LevelUp accounts have no email address or password. See Where do I find my Support ID?.

Frequently asked questions
#LevelUp Pro
What is free, and what does LevelUp Pro add?
Quests, XP and levels, character classes and skills, streaks, home-screen widgets and the community (Explore) are free for everyone. AI plans and alternative app icons are where Free and Pro differ:
| Feature | Free | Pro |
|---|---|---|
| AI plan in onboarding | Once per account and device | Yes |
| AI plan when creating a new quest | No (opens LevelUp Pro) | Yes |
| Weekly review answer | Saved | Saved |
| Weekly rebuild from the review | No | Rebuild, read and apply |
| Quests, XP, classes, widgets, community | Yes | Yes |
| Alternative home-screen app icons | No | Yes |
- The free onboarding plan can only be used during onboarding. If you choose Not now on the AI consent screen there, nothing is sent to Anthropic and you can write your first plan yourself. That first quest then earns no XP: the app says "You chose not to use AI for this plan, so your quest tracks progress without XP. Adding one of these gives you a plan with real rewards, and you can keep both." and offers ready-made plans you can add. Saying no doesn't stop you from earning XP: ready-made plans earn XP without AI. Later AI plans for new quests are part of Pro.
- A weekly rebuild is offered only when next week still has unfinished AI tasks.
- LevelUp Pro has monthly fair-use limits for each AI feature. They reset at the start of each month. If you reach one, the app says: "You've made an unusual number of AI plans this month. This resets at the start of next month."
- AI plans are written by Claude, an AI made by Anthropic, and only after you tap Allow on the consent screen. See How do I turn AI plans on or off?.
LevelUp Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, weekly or yearly, bought through the App Store or Google Play. The price and the billing period are shown in the app before you subscribe, and the payment is charged to your Apple Account or Google Play account. If a free trial is offered when you subscribe, it turns into a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel first; Apple asks you to cancel at least 24 hours before a trial ends. Full terms: Terms of Use.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Your subscription is billed and managed by Apple or Google, so you cancel it with them. Deleting the app, or deleting your LevelUp account, does not cancel it.
On iPhone or iPad: open Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions, choose LevelUp and tap Cancel Subscription.
On Android: open the Google Play app, tap your profile icon, then Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions, choose LevelUp and tap Cancel subscription.
In the app (both platforms): Profile › Settings › LevelUp Pro. While you have Pro, this opens your subscription details, from where you can manage it with your store.
- Cancel before the renewal date. To be safe, cancel at least 24 hours before it, or the next period may already be charged.
- After you cancel, Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
- On iPhone and iPad, Apple handles refunds: request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. On Android in the EU, the EEA and the UK, Google sells the subscription on our behalf, so request a refund from Google Play. On Android in Türkiye and other countries, we sell it to you through Google Play's billing, so email us at [email protected] and we handle your refund request.
- Right of withdrawal. In Türkiye, LevelUp Pro starts as soon as you confirm the purchase, at your request, so under Art. 15(1)(h) of the Distance Contracts Regulation (Mesafeli Sözleşmeler Yönetmeliği) the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply once it has started. You can still cancel at any time, as described above, and as a consumer in Türkiye you can also end it at once and get back the part you have paid for but not used (see Renewal and cancellation). In the EU, the EEA and the UK, if you are a consumer, you can withdraw from your first LevelUp Pro purchase within 14 days of buying it, without giving a reason, through the store that sold it. Details: Right of withdrawal in the Terms of Use.
How do I restore LevelUp Pro?
If you reinstall the app, move to a new phone, or start a new LevelUp account, you can normally get Pro back, because your subscription belongs to your Apple or Google account:
- Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account (iPhone) or Google account (Android) that bought the subscription.
- In LevelUp, open Profile › Settings › LevelUp Pro.
- Tap Restore on the LevelUp Pro screen.
If the app says "Restore succeeded, but access is still syncing. Please try again.", wait a moment and tap Restore again. If it says "No active LevelUp Pro purchase was found on this account.", check that you are using the store account that bought Pro and that the subscription is still active. If it still doesn't work, email us.
If, right after you buy, the app says the purchase completed but LevelUp Pro was not granted, tap Restore as above. If Pro is still not active, email us.
Restoring brings back the subscription only. Your quests, XP and other progress belong to the LevelUp account they were made in (see the next question).
Your account
What happens if I change, reset or lose my phone?
LevelUp has no sign-in in this version. Your account is created automatically and anonymously on your device, with no email address or password, and only that device holds the key to it.
- If you lose your phone, reset it, or delete and reinstall the app, you can lose access to your account and its quests, XP, character and streak. Moving to a new phone may not bring the account across.
- There is no way for us to recover or move an account in this version.
- Your LevelUp Pro subscription belongs to your Apple or Google account, so you can normally restore it on the new LevelUp account (see How do I restore LevelUp Pro?).
- An account you can no longer open is not deleted automatically: in this version, we don't delete accounts for inactivity. If you want it deleted, see Delete your account. Because the account is anonymous, we may not be able to find it without details from the app, such as its Support ID: an email you sent us from the app ends with it.
How do I delete my account, and what is kept?
In the app: Profile › Settings › Privacy & Data › Delete account. Without the app, you can ask us by email.
Warning
Deleting your account in the app happens right away and can't be undone. Deleting your account doesn't cancel LevelUp Pro (see How do I manage or cancel my subscription?).
Everything about what is deleted, what we keep, for how long and why: Delete your account and Account deletion in the Privacy Policy.
My account was suspended. What does that mean, and how do I appeal?
The app shows "Account suspended" when an account was suspended for breaking the Community Guidelines. While it's suspended, LevelUp can't be used with that account, and the quests and comments it published are hidden from the community.
A suspension also applies to the device. When we suspend an account, we mark the app installations it was used from. Any LevelUp account that later connects from a marked installation is suspended automatically too, including a new account made after deleting the suspended one, and it can be appealed in the same way. An account suspended this way isn't reviewed by a person first, so if someone else used this device, or you think it's a mistake, tell us when you appeal and a person will look at it. The marker has no fixed end date: it stays after the suspended account is deleted, and it is removed if we lift the suspension after an appeal.
The suspended screen does not show the specific reason today. If you ask us, we tell you by email which rule the suspension was based on.
You can appeal in the same way if we hid something you shared or reset your nickname.
To appeal: tap Contact support on the suspended screen, or write to [email protected] with the subject "Moderation appeal". Tell us which decision you are asking us to look at again and why you think it is wrong, and include:
- your Support ID: it is on the suspended screen and in Help & Contact, and an email you start with Contact support already ends with it;
- anything else that helps us look at it again.
You can appeal any decision about your content, nickname or account for at least 6 months after it, free of charge. A person on our team reviews every appeal and replies by email with the result and the reason; we aim to reply within 5 business days. If we find the suspension was a mistake, we lift it: the quests and comments the suspension hid become visible again, and the device markers it set are removed (content that was hidden because of its own reports stays hidden until those reports are decided). After that, Check again on the suspended screen lets you back in.
You can still delete a suspended account from the suspended screen.
If you keep getting reminders or Updates & offers messages while your account is suspended, turn LevelUp's notifications off in your phone's settings.
More on how we make and review moderation decisions: Appeals in the Community Guidelines.
Where do I find my Support ID?
Open Profile › Settings › Help & Contact. Your Support ID is shown there, in the form ABCD-EFGH; tap it to share or copy it. The app shows it once it has connected to our servers. If your account is suspended, it is also on the "Account suspended" screen.
An email you start with Email support in Help & Contact, or with Contact support on the suspended screen, already ends with a line "Support ID: …" in the app's language, once the app shows your Support ID. You can keep or remove it before you send.
Include it whenever you write to us about your account, an appeal, or a privacy or deletion request. It is how we find your account, because LevelUp accounts have no email address or password, and without it we may not be able to find it.
The Support ID only identifies your account to us. It is not a password, so don't post it publicly. Before we change or delete anything, we also ask you about something only the account holder can see in the app, for example a screenshot of your Profile screen or the titles of private quests. We don't ask for your Turkish ID number (T.C. kimlik numarası), because it can't be matched to an anonymous account. If we can't confirm that the account is yours, we tell you and don't act on the request.
AI plans and privacy
How do I turn AI plans on or off?
AI plans and weekly rebuilds are written by Claude, an AI made by Anthropic. The consent screen says: "Nothing about your quest is sent for a plan until you allow it." So nothing about your quest is sent to Anthropic for an AI plan or a weekly rebuild until you tap Allow on the "Plan with AI?" screen, and Not now sends nothing to Anthropic.
To change your choice later, open Profile › Settings › Privacy & Data and use the AI plans (Anthropic) switch.
- Off: "Nothing is sent to Anthropic for AI plans or weekly rebuilds; they ask you first. Your nickname, shared quests and comments are still checked by Anthropic's Claude, as the Community Guidelines say."
- Turning it off: "LevelUp stops sending your quest details to Anthropic for AI plans and weekly rebuilds, and a plan that's still being written is stopped. Plans you already have stay in your quests." Any tasks of a plan that was still being written are removed.
- Turning it on again: the app shows the full consent screen first.
This switch doesn't cover what you publish. Separately from AI plans, your nickname, the quests you share (title, description and tasks, including the tasks of a rebuilt week of a shared quest) and your comments and replies are sent to Anthropic's Claude for an automatic check against the Community Guidelines before they are published, whatever this switch is set to. Only the text, what kind of text it is, where it will appear and your app language are sent, with no account details. The only way to keep a text from being checked is not to publish it. If the check refuses a text, the app says so without naming the rule, for example "This doesn't meet our Community Guidelines. Change it and try again." If your nickname doesn't pass the check when it first becomes public (with your first shared quest or comment), it is removed, others see the app's default name, and the app says "Your nickname doesn't meet our Community Guidelines, so we reset it. You can choose a new one in your profile, then try again." A new nickname you pick later that doesn't pass is refused, and your old one stays. If the rebuilt week of a shared quest doesn't pass, the app says "The new week's tasks don't meet our Community Guidelines, so your current week stays as it is." If the check can't be done just then, the app says "We couldn't check this just now. Try again in a moment." and nothing is published. If the check fails for another reason, for example a setup error on our side, the text is published without being checked, so reports and our moderators remain the main safeguard. A refused text or nickname doesn't go to a person unless you ask. If you think the check got it wrong, email us: a person on our team looks at it again, and you can give your view and contest the decision, free of charge (see My account was suspended for how to appeal). More: Automatic checks of community text.
What is sent, why, and how long it is kept: AI plans in the Privacy Policy.
Note
Please don't include health or medical details in the text you write for the AI. AI plans can contain mistakes: check a plan before you rely on it, and talk to a doctor before you start a new exercise or diet program. A plan is not medical advice.
How do I turn analytics off?
Open Profile › Settings › Privacy & Data and turn off Share usage analytics. The app describes it like this: "Sends usage events, like which screens you open, to Google Analytics so we can make LevelUp better. Never the text you write. Turn it off and nothing is sent."
- The choice is saved on your device. It stays as you set it even if you delete your account and start a new one on the same device.
- LevelUp does not collect your advertising ID, shows no ads and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
The introduction screens you see when you first open the app say: "We collect usage analytics to improve LevelUp; you can turn them off anytime in Settings."
More detail: Analytics in the Privacy Policy.
How do notifications and "Updates & offers" work?
Open Profile › Settings › Notifications to choose what reaches you and when:
- Quest pace reminders: "Only on days you still need to work to keep your weekly target."
- Streak at risk: "Late evening, only when a real streak is about to break."
- Updates & offers: "Product news, feature announcements, and occasional LevelUp Pro offers." This one is off unless you turn it on. "Turning this on is your consent to marketing messages. You can turn it off any time."
- REMIND ME AT: the hour for your quest reminders.
Your phone's own notification permission comes first: if notifications are off for LevelUp in your device settings, nothing reaches you. Use Open system settings on the Notifications screen to change it.
Reminders can show the name of your quest and your next task on your lock screen, and so can LevelUp's lock-screen widgets. If you'd rather keep those private, change the notification preview settings on your phone or remove the widget.
More detail: Notifications in the Privacy Policy.
Reporting and safety
#-
In the app: tap the "…" menu on a quest or a comment and choose Report quest, Report comment or Report followed by the person's name. Pick a reason, add details if you like, and tap Send report.
-
With or without an account: Report content explains how to report by email, including intimate images shared without consent and child-safety concerns.
-
Blocking: choose Block [name] in the "…" menu on someone's quest or comment in Explore. Neither of you then sees the other's quests or comments, and neither of you can comment on the other's. They aren't told. You can still report them. To undo it, open Profile › Settings › Blocked Users and tap Unblock. You can block up to 1,000 accounts. More: Blocking someone.
-
AI plans: tap Report this plan under a plan the AI wrote. See AI plans.
In an emergency
"If someone is in danger right now, contact your local emergency services first."
